CITY OF DELTA EST. 1882 CITY OF DELTA PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION APPOINTMENTS The Delta City Council is preparing to make appointments for two positions on the City's Planning Commission. Persons interested in serving on the Commission are asked to submit their applications to the City Clerk, 360 Main Street, Delta, Colorado, 81416 by Friday, May 9, 2025. Applications are available at the City Clerk's office at the above address or on the city's website at cityofdelta.net. The Planning Commission is made up of seven qualified electors of the City of Delta. Currently, two three-year terms are available. The Commission meets the first Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. Special meetings are called as needed. The Planning Commission's duties include preparing and recommending to the City Council both a comprehensive plan for the physical development of the City and an annual five-year capital improvement plan. In addition, the Planning Commission reviews subdivision plats with recommendations to the Council; holds public hearings on and makes recommendations to the Council concerning zoning matters; reviews and makes decisions concerning uses subject to review, changes in nonconforming uses, and variances.
