DELTA HEALTH FOUNDATION Delta Health Foundation is so very sad to announce that Thelma Starner, recently coined the "Matriarch" of Delta Health, has resigned from the Delta Health Foundation Board after serving on the board since day one, in March of 2002. There are not enough words to adequately describe Thelma's contributions to Delta Health as she also served as a hospital board member for two terms. Delta Health, Delta Health Foundation, and all those whose lives she has touched are eternally grateful to Thelma for her steadfast leadership, and constant support. She will be missed greatly by Delta Health Foundation, but as Thelma herself said, "I am turning 90 next month, it's time for me to go. If someone had told me years ago that I would still be doing this at my age, I would have told them they were crazy!" We love you Thelma, thank you for EVERYTHING! Delta Health Foundation has been busy in 2024 so far, awarding 15 employees scholarships for various ongoing education programs and conferences totaling over $16,000. We have also funded equipment for both radiology and behavioral health in the amount of $1200, and have been able to provide lymphedema garments for 5 patients, totaling $767. There is one fund that has been busier than normal, and that's our Better Together Fund, which in place to help employees in crisis; so far in 2024 we have helped 6 employees totaling $3,575.
