About

Are you tired of the rat race? Do you wave at people while driving down Main Street? Do you even have a Main Street? Does every neighbor on your block know you and your family and would they come in the middle of the night to help you in an emergency? Do you have a view of snow capped mountains as you drive to work? If you don’t like your answers to any of those questions, then maybe you need to look at a little piece of heaven known as Montrose, Colorado.

If you are visiting this website, you must be thinking about a move. Now, I’m not naive or a fool. No place is perfect. But when it comes to everyday living, Montrose is where I want to be.

My husband and I moved to Montrose over 35 years ago and have never regretted it for even a moment. We bought a restored Victorian four blocks from Main Street ( see what I mean!) and have poured our hearts and souls into further remodels over the years. Our daughter learned to ski at nearby Telluride ski resort and segued that into a career as a freestyle aerialist on the U.S. Ski Team traveling the World Cup circuit. My husband is an attorney with an office six blocks from our home. Are you getting the picture yet?

When we moved here from Houston, Texas, people were so friendly and helpful. I learned about key things – like don’t ever put a wet mop outside (mop head down) in the middle of the winter- it will freeze to any surface and you will not get it up until the temperature goes up. My first winter here, I wore everything I owned to take out the garbage. It took twenty minutes to get dressed and I looked like Nanook of the North. Blood was a little thin, you know? Now I can run out in 20 degrees, barefoot, in my jammies, to sweep snow off the sidewalk. The things we learn…

I’m a big believer in passing on good things. If you are contemplating a move to Montrose, rest assured, you will not do it alone. I have teamed with Julia Seglund in my office, who is also a good friend. Working together we feel we can offer even better customer service. Two pairs of eyes and hands can be really helpful! From the beginning when we look for and find the perfect home, to personally introducing you to lenders, helping you through the various aspects of purchasing your home -we are there. One of our biggest attributes is attention to detail andweI follow the whole process carefully, always trying to anticipate any situation that might arise. WeI would like to be your Realtors of choice, but more importantly, we want to establish a long term relationship.
