Several years ago we had a large, kind of chunky, lab/heeler mix named Abby. When our daughter was little, I bought a pair of fuzzy pink bunny ears on a chin strap for her to wear at Easter. Abby noticed them in a drawer and begged to wear them. She would sit in front of that drawer staring until I got them out and strapped them on her. She proudly wore them around the house and on car rides. It was probably a little unnerving for drivers to see her sitting in the front seat staring straight ahead. She saw no humor in the situation. It was obvious she saw herself as a princess in pink bunny ears!
