To the doctors, nurses, health care workers, teachers teaching from home, pastors ministering and praying for us via camera, Recreation District and School District employees helping to organize meals for our children while school is out, Montrose Daily Press, Shepherd's Hand and Sharing Ministries for feeding those in need, the City Council, the City Manager, and our County Commissioners for making hard decisions to keep us safe, the sanitation workers, the utility workers, Chief Hall and our police department, Sheriff Lillard and his deputies, UPS, FedEx, and USPS postal workers delivering needed goods. It bears repeating a sincere heartfelt thank you to, Montrose Memorial Hospital, who are prepared for the worst. The grocery store workers, truck drivers, small business owners supplying our needs, restaurants delivering food and donating to workers on the front line, dedicated folks manning the hardware stores, farmers planting their fields, our Latino brothers and sisters working the low-paying essential jobs, volunteers helping the less fortunate to get by, and to all others not previously mentioned who are making personal sacrifices for the good of our community. And, finally, to all of you the responsible folks who are wearing masks and following the social distancing mandates. Every one of us must practice patience and make sacrifices in order to protect our elderly and vulnerable population, as well as the many health care workers on the front lines of this pandemic.
