After some discussion about styling options, Miss Verna proclaimed "I do believe I will just CRE-ate as I go along!" When I saw the resulting teased, shellacked mushroom cloud erupting from my mom's head I must have made some kind of noise because my mom shot me a look that would have stopped a charging bull elephant! Evidently it was pretty huge, even by Miss Verna's standards, because I then watched her wrap her arms around my mother's head and crush the whole thing down. Mom walked out of there with hair that could have withstood a nuclear blast and then some. To Moms everywhere, including those who are no longer with us- thanks for all the memories.
